Open Nature Quest (Belfast)
These monthly walks engage with the natural landscape directly connecting physical awareness to living environment. Trees, plants, landscape can create possibility for exploration in and through our nature. Such walking also provides collective occasion for active enquiry.
We are very lucky in that many of our local landscapes (and Belfast in this instance) provides immediate walking connections to good nature trails. The constantly changing unconditioned seasons of wider scenery; forest, coastline, bogland, river, hills and mountain with rain, cloud, sunshine and light provides a great challenge for straightforward physical and meditative relationship.
Meetings the first Sunday of every month (June, July and August excepted) at 7 Rosetta Park, Belfast BT6 0DJ. We begin at 11.00am with a half-hour Krishnamurti DVD showing followed by a short quiet period and then, weather depending, we go on a two to three hour walk. Waterproof clothing and footware is advisable.
